Chardham yatra Itinerary

Your journey begins in the sacred cities of Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun. As you ascend towards Barkot, the gateway to Yamunotri, you'll pass through the charming hill station of Mussoorie. Take a moment to soak in the views at Mussoorie Lake and feel the mist of the iconic Kempty Falls before continuing your scenic drive to Barkot, where the mountains welcome you with open arms.

Awaken to the crisp mountain air as you prepare for your trek to Yamunotri, the source of the sacred Yamuna River. The trek is a blend of natural beauty and spiritual energy, leading you to the revered Yamunotri Temple. Offer your prayers and take a holy dip in the Yamuna before returning to Barkot for a restful evening.

After breakfast, you'll journey to Uttarkashi, a town steeped in spirituality and nestled along the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and if time permits, take a short trek offered by the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) to immerse yourself in the natural splendor of the region.

Today, you'll embark on a drive to Gangotri, the origin of the sacred Ganges River. Along the way, pause at the picturesque Harsil Valley, known for its pristine beauty and serene atmosphere. At Gangotri, pay homage at the Gangotri Temple and witness the powerful Bhagirathi River as it begins its journey to the plains.

Leaving Uttarkashi behind, you'll journey to Sersi visit Guptkashi, a town rich in mythology and religious significance. Here, you'll visit the Vishwanath Temple, another important Shiva shrine, and prepare for the next day's adventure to Kedarnath.

Today is the highlight of your pilgrimage – the journey to Kedarnath. From Sersi, you'll either trek or take a helicopter to the Kedarnath Temple, situated amidst the snow-capped peaks. This ancient temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is one of the most revered shrines in India. After your darshan, stay near Kedarnath Temple in the alloted hotel or camps.

After visiting Kedarnath, descend to Sonprayag and continue your spiritual journey to the Triyuginarayan Temple, believed to be the venue of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati's divine marriage. The temple's sacred fire has been burning for centuries, a symbol of eternal love and devotion. Return to Sersi for the night.

On this day, you'll travel to the final dham, Badrinath. En route, visit the Omkareshwar Temple and pass through the enchanting landscapes of Chopta, often referred to as the "Mini Switzerland of India." Upon arrival in Badrinath, visit the Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and soak in the divine ambiance of this holy town.

Before leaving Badrinath, visit the sacred sites of Mana Village, the last Indian village before the Tibetan border, and the Narsingh Devta Temple. Your journey then continues to Srinagar, with stops at the revered Sankaracharaya Math, Vishnu Prayag, Karnaprayag, Nandprayag, and the Dhari Devi Temple, where spirituality and nature converge beautifully.

On the final day of your pilgrimage, you'll return to Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun, with a significant stop at Devprayag.
